The Sims 4: City Living is a great expansion pack, but players have experienced quite a few glitches in the game. Most are relatively minor and things that could be corrected in the next update. Many concerns were expressed across multiple threads on The Sims forums and on EA’s website over the past week. However, there’s been no official word on when to expect fixes.
Follow the links below to visit the thread for each issue.
Overeating at food carts, even if a Sim’s hunger meter is full
Sims return home from work early
Hyper-speed time issues
Sims voice continues to practice singing even after Sim has stopped.
Sims do not stop painting, action disappears from queue
Young Sims come home from school right after leaving house
Apartment neighbors complaining about noise when there is none
Sims defaulting to T-Pose when going to complain about noise to neighbors.
Frequency of neighbor visits seems way too high
Can’t ‘Go Here’ in own apartment
Neighbors barging into Sims apartments uninvited all the time, even without a key
Landlord doesn’t leave apartment after fixing unless asked
Sim will not stop playing basketball, overrides other tasks in queue
Sims don’t go to rabbit hole events, even when invited initially
Babies spawn in off locations in apartments
Random lags where Sims just stand in place and waste time
Utility box gets fixed, but still no power
Relationships decay when with friends when moving to an apartment
Laud meal interactions in food critic career do not show up
Festival objects get stuck
Earlier this month, Sims producer Grant Rodiek called San Myshuno “the most difficult world we have ever made in the history of the Sims.” Rodiek also told iDigi that apartments changed the way the camera system worked, which has huge implications on video card support and performance implications for how the game runs. Read more about that here.
